Introduction

The Bizzy Bees Kindergarten more to playhouse concept because in our kindergarten we offering an early education for the children 4 to 6 years old and our kindergarten is private kindergarten. We also believe in children’s milestone domains of development are very fundamental as they need to be on the right track to having a full per cent of potential to be a success in future. For our curriculum, we were inspired by the idea of Montessori and Reggio Emilia where we applied practical life, natural play, and learning, and we also include some of the other philosophers such as Howard gardener. We encourage learning in full mode indoor and outdoor so that child has an equal chance in both places. We help on full exposure of discovery and hands-on experience for every one of our children.

In Bizzy Bees Kindergarten we practice a theme-based curriculum, which means that each skill area of the curriculum is connected to a topic that we refer to as a theme. The theme will last for a year. The topic is widely selected and goes in-depth and very specific, such as learning about transportation as a four-week theme in a class. Throughout the year, all the classroom activities will be related to the theme. The theme would touch on all the academic areas throughout the year.   We realize that research shows that learning is an integrated activity, and the theme-based curriculum is helpful in several ways. Children of all ages benefit from the curriculum connections. Rather than teaching each skill or topic in isolation, children are encouraged to see that at different times of the day or through different subjects, we can learn about various aspects of a broader topic. In turn, it helps children to see connections and start to make their own connections from one experience...

Environment

Learning environments are spaces which promote the development of all young children. These include classrooms, play areas, and outdoor areas. Learning environments at Bizzy Bees Kindergarten are well-organized and administered settings. We have built and configured influences on how children feel, think and behave. The physical environment allows growth and development in specified areas through thematic practices and materials. The is where both teachers and students spend most of their time and a place, they can call and relate to their own.

Objective of Curriculum

Play is the most important “work” for children through which they learn about the world around them. Our curriculum is based on play and takes into account children’s interests, needs and abilities. Children are born to be curious. We think that the teachers’ role is to help to harness this curiosity and shape it into rational, logical and sustainable processes of thought. This can be most effectively done by interesting, meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Here is the objective of curriculum content: Domains of Development
